Feriz and I got our pitchforks for Halloween.
It's been a busy week in Vana'diel. Feriz and I took an hour or so last weekend to get our Pitchforks +1 from the Halloweenn event. I bought a lot of cookies to trade to NPCs until we were able to turn ourselves into goblins in San d'Oria and get them. The pitchforks have no practical use other than looking cool and making a costumed character move faster. I can use it when I wear the Mandragora Belt, but that's it.
Other accomplishments for the week? I went into Promyvion-Mea so Quieren and Malystryxx could clear it and gain access to Lufaise Meadows. It was strange trying one of those without Veresko in the lead, but Zaria did a pretty good job of getting us through quickly and in one piece. Zaria died during the final sprint into the spire, but luckily it happened right at the zone and I was able to pop out a minute later for the raise.
I escorted them around Lufaise and the Tavnazian Safehold to obtain the map. We explored a bit and went to a beautiful waterfall where, it turns out, a legendary fish called Takitaro is found. Quieren tried to catch it and couldn't even begin to wear it down. I want to give it a try soon.
I resigned my short-lived membership in Notorious Hunters because I'm not ready to make that kind of time commitment to another linkshell. I didn't burn any bridges in the process because I'll probably want to rejoin at some point. For now, I have too many other things I'd rather do.

A quadav is featured on this monument.
I took Uday around a few areas to quest the Crawler's Nest map and knocked out five of the fifteen monuments he'll need. I hate trying to navigate without a map, and the nest has a ton of corridors and assorted nooks and crannies. I went in there today to boost my staff skills on the lizards Neyla was farming for skins.
Speaking of Neyla, he lost to Maat twice this week and is getting highly frustrated. The Red Mage fight is the hardest in the game, and after tonight's loss Neyla was saying "Fuck it" and threatening to switch over to Beastmaster full-time. Hopefully he'll lick his wounds and jump back in. There are a couple RDMs out there I could point to and say "If that douche can do it, I know you can."
I've spent a large chunk of my week developing my woodworking skills. I spent this afternoon (when I wasn't running around with Neyla and Veresko) in "arrow hell," making stack after stack of silver arrows until I reached Lv. 28. I also managed my first high-quality synth and made 66 arrows instead of the normal 33.

I caught my first Titanictus.
I've been tapped to catch a bunch of three-eyed fish for an alchemist who needs them to level. I'm not excited by the prospect because they don't bring in a lot of gil for the trouble, but the crafter is prepared to buy them in bulk. Another crafter asked if I could break a few mithran rods on the ferry for him; I did it, and then I used my Lu Shang and caught my first Titanictus.
