Dusty Beastmaster

I'd only planned to log on and catch a few Emperor Fish for guild points, but Neyla was doing some skillups and I decided to join him. He started in Vunkerl but had moved to Boyahda Tree by the time I had my quota.

suggested I switch over to Beastmaster. It's been a month or so since the last time I used it to farm my Florid Stone, so I had to dust off the gear and strip my mannequin. We dropped down the waterfall and made our way to the sapling tunnel with the Korrigans.

We've camped there plenty of times, but this was my first time pulling it. I was wary, but it worked out nicely and it didn't take long to get back into the Beastmaster groove. I only mischarmed once, and the mandy didn't even have a chance to hit me before I'd Tamed him.

I alternated between two Korrigans as pets and ran out to grab Steelshells. The only difficult part was an Elder Goobue who pops near the mouth of the tunnel. He'd usually pop as a Tough, and I'd have to swap pets to bring him down. The great thing about having Neyla on Paladin is he could Flash it and get its attention while I charmed the sapling.

MP was never an issue, since Neyla was PLD/DNC and could give us Aspir Samba. He likes to joke that crabs are like little juice boxes, and it's very true. With the Guady Harness and the constant MP being drawn from the Steelshells, I always had enough MP for Sneak.

We were there for 90 minutes (three Tuna Sushi) before I headed out. With the Empress Band, I earned a little over 4k in limit points, putting me halfway to a third merit. We'll head back out there on Monday for a longer session.
