Miss Charming

It's so rare that I can say this, but today Neyla was the king of the mischarms.

It was our first real day back in the game after being off all week, and we decided to go meriting in Bibiki Bay. It's slower than a cannon party -- we do about 5k an hour -- but it's a lot less hassle and a lot more satisfying. It doesn't take long to get into a steady groove of dhalmel slaughter, although I'm still getting used to the idea that I don't have to use Leave at the end of the fight and fear a last-second Healing Breeze from our quarry.

was having a pretty good day of landing my charms, but he was pissing off bunnies left and right. I couldn't help giggling about it. I've got to get my jollies when I can, since it'll be me mischarming soon enough.

We did about 12k before we returned to Windurst. Neyla's working on his next MP boost, which will require five merit points. I'll probably raise Hand-to-Hand again when I get three saved up. I'm hoping Bibiki Bay will be open again on Monday.

A Lv. 8 Besieged was brewing, so Neyla and I headed for Al Zahbi. Hadafal joined us. I put up a valiant struggle against fatigue, but I logged out before they started marching.

In other news, Wulfgar and Veresko have decided to duo Beastmaster. I think Ver is going after Maat's Cap, so he'll need to have BST to at least 66. If they can survive the first 35 levels, it should be easy for them.

Fang Rush

Sunday's ENM didn't happen. Our Ninja was AWOL, and it was too short notice to get a replacement tank. We did the escort, and that was pretty much my only gaming time that day.

Today

My wyvern put up a good fight, but still died.
was about the same. I popped on to check my auctions and entered the Pit on a whim. I was so surprised to get a match scheduled that I stuck around so my new wyvern could fight a coeurl two levels higher. It wasn't a slaughter, at least; my guy managed to fight back and almost made a good show of it, but then he got Paralyzed and that was the end of it. Bah.

I'd like the Pankration thing if there was some kind of practical use for it. Give me the ability to call the pet I've raised in the wild like a Signal Pearl NPC or a jug pet and I'd be all over it. For now... it's just kinda there. Waiting 30-40 minutes to get a match just isn't worth the hassle.

Speaking of, this is going to be an off week for Vana'diel. All the Monk meriting has burned me out and I need to recharge. I'll pop on to check my auctions, but that's about it.
