There's been very little adventuring this past month, I'm sad to say. If you tallied it, you'd probably wouldn't see five whole hours. Neyla and I did the escort a few times and started to get ourselves psyched up to do some Campaign battles, but generally it's been lackluster.

reached the stage where we're trying to find reasons to play. The new work schedule has really screwed us hard when it comes to gaming. We can drop in for an hour or so after work with few problems; playing together before work is difficult because we have very different sleep schedules. I'm usually up and at 'em by 9 a.m., but I don't think he climbs out of bed until shortly before work.
But this week we said we were going to get our heads back in the game. There are new Campaign medals to earn from the recent update, after all. He got sick and we had a few late nights at the paper, so that fell through.
At any rate, I went out to the mall today to buy a copy of
Silent Hill: Homecoming and noticed the Xbox 360 version of
The Vana'diel Collection was only $15. I was not prepared for the installation time. The program took 70 minutes to transfer the 8GB of info over to my meager hard drive, and then it took
four hours to download all the updates.
I'm hoping having it on the console will drive me toward a more "casual" play, where I'm not dreading plunking down in front of the computer. If I can log on for a few and go fishing while resting comfortably in my recliner... well, we'll see how it goes. I'll definitely need a USB keyboard, because playing with the controller was just too strange for words.
