Artifact Armor Assistants

After
Final Fantasy XI - Beastmaster
The orc NMs in Davoi put up a fight.
days of numbing my brain with constant demon arrow synths, it was nice to do something productive. Neyla must've even more bored than I was, because he asked the linkshell if anyone needed help. I was making more arrowwood lumber in Carpenter's Landing when the topic of Dazell's Paladin AF3 came up.

Neyla and I went as Beastmasters, and he asked a taru BLM named Shmedly to tag along to Davoi with us. I'm not overly fond of the orc stronghold, but it's not as scary when I have my beloved crab with me. We found the village well in the middle of a group of Easy Prey orcs, so we had to clear them out.

Dazell popped the two orc NMs, One-Eyed Gwajboj and Three-Eyed Prozpuz. I put my crab on One-Eyed (PLD) to keep him busy while the rest of us started beating the snot out of the Ranger to get him out of the picture. My crab was near death when we finished them off, but she still had enough juice in her to take out some repops before our Escape.

Instead of returning to Windurst, I went to Carpenter's Landing to farm some tiger fangs for my guild point items. Neyla's second request was for a Boyahda Coffer Key. He took Ziaro out there and I joined them when I'd finished with the guild. Unfortunately, the key dropped immediately after I zoned in and I didn't get to help with the farming.

I

Dark Spark dies so fast you almost feel sorry for him.
did my part by helping to kill Dark Spark, though. Although the fight was for Ziaro's Dragoon gloves, he has his Black Mage in the 70s and he came along on that job. Best of all, he was able to D2 us when it was over.

A highly productive day, really. I got to help some people, and I'm very close to ranking up to Artisan at the Carpenter's Guild and getting my apron.

MP Upgrade Complete

The
Final Fantasy XI - Beastmaster
No more dhalmels for awhile.
meriting session we'd planned for Monday didn't happen, but Neyla and I hit Bibiki Bay this afternoon. There was another Beastmaster duo there when I logged on, so I figured I'd skill up woodworking with the new batch of ingredients I'd purchased, but they quickly logged out and the camp was ours.

It was a short session, too. We're both kinda burned out on the place right now, but Neyla got the fifth merit point he needed to upgrade his MP pool again. He now has more MP as a mithra BST/WHM than I do as a taru (even more when he wears the bison gear).

There wasn't much else going on, although we did fight off an invasion by the Undead Swarm with Nanunanoo. The lamias charmed me repeatedly and Neyla would end up sleeping us. He gets a kick out of using Horde Lullaby and seeing a long list of names scroll up through his chat log.

Synth, Synth and More Synth

I
Final Fantasy XI - Woodworking
I have splinters under my fingernails from all this woodworking.
was only online a short time Monday to do some woodworking. I hit Carpenter's Landing and talked to the NPC to buy the logs and bundling twine and synthed a few stacks of Arrowwood Lumber. I ran back to the guild in North San d'Oria to get the advanced synthesis support and started churning out Demon Arrows. Then it was off to Jeuno for carnations at the M&P Market and from there to Bastok to quiver all those arrows.

Today was pretty much a repeat of that, using the other half of the ingredients. My brain turns to mush after that much crafting, but it'll be worth it.

There was some drama in BigKahunas over the weekened. Rappa and Mirewen left the linkshell after a dispute with a new member who wanted to go WHM/BRD for some reason; they weren't pleased with how Achates handled it and flamed him hard at QCDN. That, coupled with a maintenance on World of Warcraft, inspired Quieren to come back for a few hours to work it all out. He bought me a Forager's Mantle and sent it to my moghouse; it's a neat gift, but at the same time I marvel that he spent a million gil to give me one more STR than my Amement Mantle +1.

Fletch Lives

Cmdrfly
Final Fantasy XI - Pasuk
Cower before the Holy Breastplate.
couldn't make today's ENM, so I dragged out my 40-capped White Mage gear to play healer for the group. I couldn't really complain, since my xp buffer had dropped under the 10k mark and I wanted to build it up a little. I used my scroll from the escort on Monk, so now they're both where I want them in terms of xp and I really don't care which job I take to the ENM since it's mostly for limit points now.

In crafting news, I finally managed to get some Black Chocobo Fletchings today after a week or so of auction house hunts. There's going to be a lot of Demon Arrow synths in my immediate future. I want to cap out on this recipe so I can start breaking and repairing my Lu Shang.
