Double Dragons

The
Final Fantasy XI - Dragoon
Neyla and I kill monsters in Beaucedine Glacier.
sprint to get my Dragoon closer to 75 began today with some Level Sync goodness in Beaucedine Glacier. I logged on without any real goals, other than scoping out Mamook to try and catch a betta fish for Miros. Neyla was gearing up for Dark Knight, and we ended up outposting to the glacier to get experience points.

We focused on Page 4 of the Fields of Valor manual. It meant killing tigers, goblins, and ahriman. We managed to get there just before the day changed, so we were able to sign up again as soon as we'd cleared it the first time. We did four rounds of it, which brought in a good amount of XP.

We'd been there awhile before Neyla remembered he could use magic spells like Stun and Bio II. He used it to stop a doll from using Meltdown in the tower, which was nice because I had immediately started running for the door.

We eventually returned to Windurst. I'll definitely hit 73 in our next session. I think we're going to bounce between this and Campaign.

I took a break because my nephew called for help with Animal Crossing: City Folk, trying to work out how to visit my town. Neyla called to request my assistance with one of the dragon fights. He'd stumbled across a dead taru and given him a raise, noticing the request for help in his search comment.

switched over to Monk, Neyla changed to Red Mage, and we escorted the little Dark Knight through Palborough Mines. It was a short fight. Neyla slept the dragon as I launched into Hundred Fists. I was annoyed when the ahriman petrified me for a few seconds, but it died quickly and I started punching the dragon. Even without Hundred Fists grinding its bones into powder, it didn't last long.

While Neyla led the taru to the boat for a quick ride to Bastok, I used my Tavnazian Ring to escape the dungeon and logged out. It felt nice to help someone.

Reaching New Heights

Neyla
Final Fantasy XI - Beastmasters
My NPC fellow Gauldeval reached Lv. 70 today.
and I only did a short round of NPC leveling Friday -- we were both distracted and kept blowing the rhythm -- before logging out to do other stuff. We were back at it today, though.

I popped on around 1:30 p.m., still groggy from Daylight Saving Time and staying up late to hang out. I burned through my campaign ops and reached Port Jeuno as Neyla was logging on. We busted out the escort and hit Bibiki Bay for a double dose of NPC leveling. Yawawa and Gauldeval finally hit their 70 level cap. I hope they eventually raise it to 75, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

We'll be changing the pattern a bit this week, alternating between leveling sessions and Campaign stuff, I think. The ops I did this morning puts me a lot closer to 73, so it won't take many sessions to ding me. The next update is supposed to bring Fields of Valor to the Zilart regions, so that could be very handy.
